NGE Athlete Spotlight
Soren Brockman
Concord-Carlisle
Class of 2026
RB/LB
"As parents we are amazed and proud of Soren's dedication and commitment to improve every day. He started playing flag football in Kindergarten and began asking to play tackle football around the 4th grade. We held him off until 7th grade when the pandemic cancelled the season, he was devastated. Thankfully he had Coach Jim Bennett at NGE to work with when things started to open up again. Soren has an internal drive to work hard everyday and NGE was there to give him the tools to make it happen. Coach Bennett taught him speed drills, strength training, how to lift properly, warm up, stretch, everything any athlete needs to know before hitting the gym on their own. Coach Nash and the other NGE Coaches have worked on his positional skills as well. Soren has seen first hand that over time his strength, speed and vertical has slowly but incrementally improved. A great life lesson that change does not happen overnight!
When 8th grade tackle football finally came last fall his commitment to improve himself and the team was evident to the coaches and his teammates. At the end of the season Soren was awarded the Concord Carlisle Youth Football Robichaud Award given to the players that best exemplify the teamwork and character that define the CC Patriots football program.
Even with the amount of time that he puts into going to the gym, taking advantage of every clinic that NGE offers or football camp in the region his grades have also improved. Its tough to say whether it's the discipline he has learned outside of school or learning that college coaches want to see good grades, either way it's a win win"

"During every class or Training session there is always a standout, The hardest worker in the room. The athlete who thrives on out working and pushing themself to get better. A kid who wants to learn as much as possible and is always a pleasure to coach. Soren has such a positive attitude and a is a joy to work with. He makes my job as a Coach fun and easy. His Attitude stands out from the rest. Soren’s future is very bright and it will be exciting to watch him grow. I am very proud to be able to Coach you, you’re the definition of a leader on and off the fields. Good luck this season, keep up the great work, Looking forward to seeing you grow as a player and as an adult. Keep up the great work Soren."

"There are 3 types of athletes I come across on a regular basis. Some more common than the others.
First is the athlete that show up but does everything they can to do the least amount of work as possible.
Second is the athlete who does just enough with just the right amount of effort to accomplish the tasks at hand.
Third is the athlete who shows up early, asks all the right questions and looks for feedback no matter the response, shows up on a consistent basis and gives everything they have every rep of every set of every training session.
Soren Brockman is athlete #3, an absolute pleasure to work with as a Coach and a positive addition to any group or team he is affiliated with.
I look forward to watching this young man's journey as he enters High School this fall."
